Discover the alchemy of sound, self, and transformation, led by Jungian archetypal psychoanalyst and somatic educator, Sven Doehner PhD .
About this Event

Discover the alchemy of sound

This experiential weekend invites you to explore the human voice as a living instrument of transformation. Through deep listening, sound, and embodied practice, we will learn to meet our own voices not as tools of communication, but as mirrors of the soul—capable of dissolving what is rigid, revealing what is hidden, and giving form to what longs to be expressed.

Guided by Sven Doehner, Jungian Archetypal Psychoanalyst and Somatic Movement Educator, we’ll journey into the subtle realms where vibration becomes emotion, and sound becomes a bridge between the personal and transpersonal.

The workshop is open to all therapists, counsellors, and people interested in exploring the voice and expanding their listening capacities. No previous experience needed.

About the workshop

On its own, sound is able to break things down, to open spaces, and to give form to things invisible to the naked eye. According to Alchemical wisdom, the “work of transformation” involves doing just that, doing what they called: “dissolve the coagulated and coagulate that which is dissolved”.

Practical experience shows that when we break things apart, open spaces, and give palpable form to what is otherwise invisible to us with the sound of our own voice, deep and lasting transformation seems to inevitably be triggered.

Join if you're called to develop:
  • The art of deep listening as a gateway to the imagination.
  • Sensitivity to vibration and tone as expressions of the inner life.
  • Techniques to free the natural voice and release what is held within.
  • An understanding of the alchemical process of dissolution and re-formation through sound.
  • Ways of responding vocally rather than verbally, awakening authenticity and spontaneity.
  • A direct experience of how sound can open, dissolve, and reconfigure inner patterns.

This workshop is for you if…

This workshop is for those who seek non-linear, creative, and embodied approaches to inner work — therapists, artists, dreamers, or anyone drawn to the mystery of transformation through voice.

Ticket options

We are offering three pathways into this weekend’s work, designed to support different levels of engagement with Sven Doehner’s unique imaginal and somatic approach to dreamwork. Please read the descriptions below to choose the option that best fits your needs.

1. Seminar (Friday Only) - Online | 5:00–7:30 pm (2.5 CPD)

The Seminar offers a foundational introduction to Sven’s approach to the human voice as a living expression of psyche. This opening lecture can be attended on its own or serve as the entry point into the full weekend.

Sven will explore the imaginal and somatic underpinnings of voice work applied to dreams: how sound gives shape to inner experience, how vocal expression reveals unconscious dynamics, and how meeting the voice becomes a path to psychological deepening and transformation.

Ideal for:

  • Those wanting a gentle introduction to Sven's voice work for dreams
  • Returning participants seeking to revisit or ground themselves in the core principles

2. Seminar + Workshop - Friday online seminar + Saturday in-person workshop 10am–5pm (10.5 CPD)

This ticket includes the Friday Seminar plus a full day of in-person experiential practice.
The Saturday workshop takes participants beyond theory and into embodied vocal exploration, working with resonance, gesture, breath, image, sound, and relational presence as related to dreams.

Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and small-group practice, participants will learn how the voice can act as both mirror and messenger, opening pathways into emotional, imaginal, and archetypal material.

This is the core training day of the weekend.

Ideal for:

  • Anyone ready to engage the work directly through embodied vocal practice
  • Therapists, facilitators, and creatives seeking new tools for depth dreamwork
  • Participants wanting meaningful experiential contact with Sven’s teaching

3. Advanced Integration - Full Weekend: Friday & Saturday + extra Advanced Practice Session on Sunday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (14 CPD)

The Advanced Integration ticket includes everything from Friday and Saturday, plus a smaller, more intimate Sunday session dedicated to deepening and refining the work.

On Sunday, participants explore advanced aspects of the human voice as an imaginal instrument, including relational voice work, supervised practice, personalised feedback, and opportunities to work with material that emerged overnight or during the previous day’s exercises.

This session allows the work to settle more fully into the body, giving participants space to integrate, experiment, and find their own way of meeting the voice.

Ideal for:

  • Participants seeking the fullest possible training experience
  • Practitioners who want more direct guidance, feedback, and time with Sven
  • Individuals wanting additional depth, refinement, and embodied integration

Students get 15% off with code STUDENT15 at checkout.
