🐦MEET THE WILD: TASMANIAN WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS 🐦A solo exhibition by Rachel Harris, hosted by the Art Society of Tasmania
Join me for the opening afternoon of my first solo exhibition, celebrating Tasmania’s incredible native wildlife through detailed, lifelike drawings.
🥂Opening event:
📅 2 pm Saturday 31 October
📍 Lady Franklin Gallery, 268 Lenah Valley Road, Lenah Valley
Exhibition to be opened by A/Prof Stewart Nicol
As a former wildlife scientist, I combine my scientific background with a love of capturing the personalities and behaviours of Tassie's native birds and mammals. Meet the Wild explores the connections we form with wildlife and the stories and memories we associate with the animals we encounter.
🖼️ Exhibition dates:
📅 Open weekends 11 am–4 pm, 31 October – 29 November
📍 Lady Franklin Gallery, 268 Lenah Valley Road, Lenah Valley
Original artwork, prints, calendars and other gifts will be available to purchase. A portion of the proceeds supports Tasmanian wildlife conservation organisations 💚
🎤 Artist talk: 2pm Sunday 8 November
Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, an art lover or simply curious about Tasmania's wild inhabitants, I'd love to see you there! 💚
