Meet the Investor: Getting Your Business Investment Ready

Meet the Investor is a free breakfast event for founders and business owners across the Tees Valley and wider North East who haven’t raised investment before, or aren’t sure it’s right for them. You’ll hear directly from two funders active in the region about how equity and debt investment work, what they look for, and how to put your business in a strong position before you approach anyone.

There’s no pitching and no hard sell. Just bring your questions.

What you’ll take away

• A clear view of equity and debt finance, and how to judge which might suit your business
• An introduction to the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II) and other funding available locally
• What investors look for, and the common gaps that hold businesses back
• Time to talk to the speakers and other local business owners over breakfast

Who should attend
Founders, owners and directors of startups and established SMEs in the North East who are thinking about growth and want to understand their funding options, whether that’s a year away or next month.

Hosted by Embeddable
At Embeddable, we provide technology leadership and due diligence for investors and the businesses they back. We often meet good businesses in the region that have never considered outside investment, or don’t know where to start. This morning is our way of helping to close that gap, by giving local businesses the chance to hear directly from the funders active here and ask the questions they might not ask anywhere else.

Info: A panel conversation and Q&A on how businesses can become investment-ready, increase their chances of successfully receiving investment, and understanding what options are available to them.
