Meet the Authors – Karen Crear & Coleen GreenwoodJoin us at Chapters & Chai as we welcome authors Karen Crear and Coleen Greenwood for a special book signing featuring their powerful true-story books, Playing with Fire and Healing From the Burns.
Playing with Fire: The True Story of Fireman Scam tells the astonishing story of Coleen Greenwood, who believed she had met the man of her dreams in a heroic firefighter named James Scott. But as his elaborate web of lies began to unravel, her dream relationship turned into a nightmare, setting her family on a determined fight for justice.
The extraordinary story was also the subject of the BBC Sounds podcast series Love-Bombed with Vicky Pattison, which reached No. 1 on the UK Apple Podcasts chart within its first week.
In the follow-up, Healing From the Burns: Life After Fireman Scam, Coleen and Karen explore what happens after justice has been served. With Greg Wilson behind bars, the focus turns to rebuilding lives, finding strength and discovering that healing isn't always as straightforward as it seems.
Both books offer a remarkable insight into manipulation, resilience and the courage it takes to move forward. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will also be donated to Women's Aid.
Come along to meet Karen and Coleen, hear more about the true story behind their books and pick up personally signed copies.
