Dr. Pete Alcide is an award winning author and filmmaker. Join us for A Journey Thrust Upon Us: LUPEO is an unforgettable story of love, sacrifice, resilience, and the strength of the human spirit. Set against one of history's most devastating natural disasters, the novel takes readers on an emotional journey through impossible choices, heartbreaking loss, and the determination to keep moving forward when hope seems out of reach.
Pete masterfully balances deeply personal moments with larger themes of family, courage, and survival. The characters feel authentic, their emotions are raw, and every chapter draws you deeper into a story that is both gripping and profoundly human.
Without relying on unnecessary drama or predictable twists, this book reminds us that the greatest battles are often fought within ourselves-and that even in our darkest moments, hope can still be found.
