Come to Carden on November 28th to discover Heather Franzen Rutten! Heather Franzen Rutten is an artist and illustrator working primarily in acrylic gouache, oil, and ink. Originally from Belt, Montana, she developed a lifelong love of the outdoors and natural world; her paintings often feature plants and animals drawn from personal connections to places explored. She often blends in floral symbolism to illustrate distinctly human experiences and themes. Through her work, Heather hopes to inspire curiosity and reflection on our own relationship with nature.
Heather's artwork has been exhibited in galleries across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In addition to gallery shows, she enjoys collaborating with other artists on zines and anthologies. When she isn't drawing or painting, Heather can be found hiking, geocaching, or hanging out inside with tea and a book. She can be found online at HeatherFranzen.com or @HeatherFranzen on Instagram, Tumblr, and Bluesky.
Come for the art, stay for the good time. Saturday, November 28th, from 10:00-2:00. Snacks to be provided
