For our October edition, we're bringing Fast Friends to James Joyce, a long-standing Calgary favourite in the heart of downtown on Stephen Avenue.
Think authentic Irish pub atmosphere, great drinks, hearty Irish food and plenty of opportunities to connect.
Whether you're coming for a drink, dinner or simply to meet people, it's a setting made for socialising.
🤝 More Than Just Introductions
The evening isn't simply a room full of strangers.
You'll move through short Fast Friends conversations and rotations, giving you the chance to speak with different people without having to figure out who to approach.
Then we'll switch things up with our Themed Connection Rounds — interactive prompts, quick challenges and activities designed to uncover shared interests and keep conversations flowing.
You might discover someone who loves travelling, hiking, trying new restaurants, live music, books or simply enjoys meeting interesting people.

7:00 PM — Arrive & Settle In
Meet Sonia, grab a drink and get comfortable. Coming alone? No problem — you'll be welcomed into the group from the start.
7:30 PM — Fast Friends 🤝
Short, guided conversations with different people. Sonia keeps the rounds moving so you always know what happens next.
✨ Themed Connection Rounds
A change of pace with fun prompts and interactive activities designed to help you find common ground.
From 8:30 PM — Stay & Mingle
The hosted part finishes, but the evening doesn't have to. Grab another drink or some food and continue the conversations with people you've connected with.
