Meet the GOATs of W**d control! 🐐🌿The City of Red Deer’s goat herd has spent another season munching invasive weeds in parks and green spaces, and now it’s your chance to meet the crew.
Drop by Kerry Wood Nature Centre for Meet & Bleat on Friday, October 2. Get up close with the herd, pet some of the goats and meet goat herders and members of The City’s Parks team.
While you’re there, learn why The City uses goats as one of its tools to manage invasive weeds and how targeted grazing can help in ecologically sensitive areas.
