Grant Park Meditation, Georgia Buddhist Camp, and present:
On Saturday, April 11th, please join us with Buddhist monk from the Walk for Peace, Phra Ajarn Maha Dam Phommasan from , and local venerable monastics to set an intention for inner peace and the happiness of all beings. In Buddhist practice, peace begins within—through non-violence, loving-kindness, and mindfulness. The calm and compassion we cultivate in our hearts ripple outward to our families, communities, and the wider world.

Gazebo at Grant Park, near Atlanta Zoo. Parking on local streets or (paid) parking in the Grant Park lot or Atlanta Zoo lot, and a short walk over.
Approximate Schedule:
• 9:00–9:30 AM — Arrival
• 9:30–10:00 AM — Karaniya Metta Sutta (Pali) & Meditation
• 10:00–10:30 AM — Walking Meditation
• 10:30–11:15 AM — Q&A with monastics
• 11:30 AM — Lunch offerings for monastics
• 12 PM onward — Community conversation
(subject to change, weather permitting)
Everyone is welcome—families, children, and people of all ages. Stay as long as you like, bring a mat, have a picnic, and spend time connecting with the community and monastics.
Etiquette when greeting monastics:
In many Buddhist cultures, it is customary to keep a respectful distance and greet monastics with a gentle bow (añjali) as a sign of respect. If you are new, feel free to simply observe and follow along.
