Upcoming Medicare Fall Annual Enrollment Period
Passages HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program) provides free, unbiased Medicare counseling to help older adults and Medicare beneficiaries understand their coverage options.
Event Drop-In Sessions:
11am-12pm * 12pm-1pm * 1pm-2pm * 2pm-3pm * 3pm-4pm
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October 15 through December 7. During this time, Medicare beneficiaries can review and make changes to their Part D Prescription Drug and Medicare Advantage (Part C) coverage for the upcoming year.
What Can You Do During Medicare AEP?
- Switch from one Part D Plan to another
- Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan to Original Medicare
- Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan
- Enroll in a Part D Prescription Drug Plan
- Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another
- Cancel your current Part D Plan
Medicare beneficiaries may receive significant advertising and outreach from insurance companies and agents during this time. Before making changes to your health coverage, make sure you understand how a new plan may affect your medications, providers, costs and benefits.
HICAP counselors are available to help you review your options and make an informed decision based on your individual health care needs.
