Join Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers for an engaging, hands-on exploration of the healing plants growing all around us!
Led by Dr. Leslie Solomonian, ND, this multi-sensory workshop invites you to slow down, connect with the garden, and discover the fascinating world of medicinal herbs.
During this workshop, participants will:
🌱 Explore the garden and learn how to identify medicinal herbs growing around us
🌿 Discover traditional uses of common herbs and the different parts of plants that can be used
👃 Engage your senses through a hands-on, multi-sensory experience with plants
✂️ Harvest herbs from the garden and learn about respectful and mindful harvesting
🪴 Plant mint and take part in a hands-on gardening activity
☕ Enjoy herbal tea and spend time connecting with others in the garden
💚 Explore ways to deepen our connection with the natural world
Whether you already have a love of herbs or are simply curious about the plants growing around you, this workshop offers an opportunity to learn, share knowledge, get your hands in the garden, and experience the plants in a new way.
No gardening experience necessary. All supplies are provided.
