About this Event
This face-to-face workshop is free for small VCFSE sector organisations, based in or delivering in Northamptonshire.
How do you show the difference your organisation makes to the people you support and the wider community?
Measuring social impact can help you understand the difference your work makes and communicate it to others. It is also increasingly important when applying for funding, as many funders want to know about the impact of your work.
Who should attend?
Delivered in partnership with Northamptonshire Community Foundation, this workshop is aimed at small voluntary and community organisations with little or no experience of measuring social impact.
Perhaps you have heard of social impact but would like to understand more? Or maybe you have looked into it and found it complicated, time-consuming or something only larger charities have the resources to do?
This workshop will show you how to get started using simple, practical approaches that work for small organisations.
What will the workshop cover?
• What is social impact? Understand what it means and why measuring it matters.
• Developing a Theory of Change: Explore how to describe the difference you want to make and have a go at creating a simple Theory of Change for your organisation.
• Collecting data: Explore what data to collect and how to collect it to help you understand and demonstrate the difference your organisation makes.
• Communicating your impact: Explore simple visual examples and useful resources to help you share your organisation’s achievements.
