Join Meadow Brooks Nature Explores Club for hands-on outdoor adventures and fun discoveries in nature!About this Event
Big Adventures. Little Discoveries. Growing Confidence.
A Saturday Nature Club for Curious, Capable, and Adventurous Kids!
What if your child could spend Saturday mornings discovering hidden habitats, investigating fascinating insects, making new friends, and learning to see the natural world with curiosity and wonder?
Welcome to Meadow Brooks Nature Explores Club, where childhood adventures become opportunities for discovery, confidence, independence, and meaningful learning.
Designed for children ages 5–8, our small-group, outdoor enrichment program gives young Explorers the opportunity to unplug from screens, get their hands a little dirty, ask big questions, and discover just how much they are capable of.
This isn't simply a nature walk or another Saturday activity. It's the beginning of an ongoing adventure!
Through scheduled club experiences, children will explore new nature themes, develop practical skills, build friendships, and grow their confidence through hands-on discovery.
Every adventure brings something new to explore, learn, and celebrate.
Is Your Child Ready to Become a Nature Explorer?
Your child may be ready for the Meadow Brooks Nature Explores Club if they:
- Are between 5 and 8 years old.
- Love exploring, asking questions, collecting observations, or discovering how things work.
- Can participate in a small-group experience with adult guidance.
- Is able to follow simple safety instructions and stay with their group.
- Can communicate when they need help, a bathroom break, or a little reassurance.
- Are ready to practice independence during a three-hour, staff-supervised experience.
Your child doesn't need to know anything about plants, insects, or outdoor survival. They don't even have to love bugs yet!
All they need is a little curiosity and a willingness to explore.
We understand that every child is different. If your Explorer is nervous about new experiences or needs additional support, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] before registering so we can discuss their needs together.
What Will My Explorer Experience?
Each scheduled Saturday adventure combines purposeful learning with the freedom and joy of outdoor exploration.
Your child can look forward to:
- Guided Nature Exploration: Investigating trails, plants, animal habitats, and the fascinating ecosystems around us.
- Hands-On STEAM Discoveries: Exploring science, nature, design, and creative problem-solving through real experiences.
- Nature-Inspired Projects: Creating, building, observing, and experimenting with age-appropriate materials.
- Friendship and Teamwork: Practicing communication, cooperation, responsibility, and kindness.
- Growing Independence: Building confidence through manageable challenges, new discoveries, and opportunities to make decisions.
Our first adventure focuses on Bug Hotels & Backyard Habitats! Explorers will investigate where insects live, discover why small creatures matter, and create a bug-hotel-inspired habitat project using prepared materials.
Small Groups. Attentive Supervision. Meaningful Experiences.
We know that when you trust someone with your child, safety and communication matter just as much as the activities.
That's why Meadow Brooks Nature Explores Club is designed as a small-group experience with:
- A maximum of 16 Explorers for the opening session.
- Three staff members supporting exploration, activities, and supervision.
- Staff-guided nature walks and clearly defined exploration boundaries.
- A safety orientation at the beginning of each session.
- Regular group headcounts and supervised transitions between activities.
- Structured check-in and authorized-adult pickup procedures.
- Planned bathroom, hydration, snack, and rest breaks.
- Outdoor activities designed around weather, environmental conditions, and children's needs.
Explorers will remain on designated park trails and activity areas. Activities will not include swimming, entering waterways, or disturbing wildlife.
Our goal is to create an experience where children feel safe enough to be curious, encouraged enough to try something new, and proud of what they discover.
