In this practical, interactive taster session, Helen Fox will introduce the core principles of effective maintenance management. You'll explore what good maintenance looks like in practice, why planning, organisation and clear maintenance strategies matter, and how structured maintenance supports improved reliability, reduced costs and better operational performance.


Drawing on MCP's extensive industry experience, this session provides practical insight into the management practices that help organisations move beyond reactive maintenance and build a more effective maintenance function. You'll also gain an introduction to the wider principles covered in MCP's City & Guilds accredited Maintenance Management Practices programme

Info: In this hands-on workshop, participants will experience a condensed version of our industry-accredited mechanical maintenance training, delivered by fully qualified trainers. Whether you're new to mechanical engineering or expanding your existing skills, you’ll work with our training rigs to explore essential mechanical tasks such as pulleys, belt drives, chains, bearings, and pump maintenance. This taster session will demonstrate key techniques from MCP’s Mechanical Maintenance Skills programmes and offer valuable insight into how structured mechanical training can bolster your team’s competence and operational reliability
