Company is the first show of our 2027 Season.The director of the production is Jim Cronin, who is being supported by Producer Tess Catlin, Music Director Lara Gonzalez, and Stage Manager Stephanie Dalsfoist.
It's Bobby's birthday and the confirmed bachelor finds himself standing at a crossroads between single life and marriage. As he observes his group of married friends, he gets an intimate look at the chaotic, hilarious, and tender realities of modern partnership. Through honest conversation and warm interaction, these friendships serve as both a safety net and a mirror, challenging his views on love and commitment. Set to Stephen's Sondheim's legendary score, Company, is a funny, heartfelt exploration of what Being Alive really means.
It will be presented February 19-27, 2027.
Auditions will be held at the Mason Community Playhouse, 5529 Mason Road in Mason:
Saturday, November 14th, from Noon to 2:00pm
Sunday, November 15th, from 1:00 to 3:00pm
Monday, November 16th, from 7:00 to 9:00pm
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Those trying out are asked to bring a prepared vocal selection of 16-32 bars from musical theatre. An accompanist will be provided, as well as a Bluetooth speaker for tracks. No A capella selections, please.
Dance per se will not be a part of the audition process. There will be a simple observation of movement by the choreographer, but please wear comfortable shoes ... ones that won't trip you up.
