Join us for a fun and relaxed Halloween-themed evening filled with pizza, movies, treats, and friendship!
We'll be watching a not-so-scary Halloween movie, like Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown. The best part? You get to help choose the movie! We'll let the group decide what we'd like to watch together.
🍕 Pizza is on us! We'll provide pizza for everyone.
🥤 What to Bring: Everyone is asked to bring their own beverage and a treat to share with the group. Sweet, salty, or spooky treats are all welcome!
Whether you love Halloween movies or just want to enjoy pizza and hang out with friends, we'd love to have you join us.
No pressure to be outgoing or make conversation the whole time. Come as you are, relax, and enjoy a fun evening with people who understand you!

Welcome to Our Social Club!
The McHenry County Neurodivergent Young Adults Social Club is a social group for neurodivergent young adults ages 18–25 who are looking to build friendships, connect with peers, and enjoy social activities in a welcoming and accepting environment.
This group is designed for young adults who may be autistic, have ADHD, are AuDHD, identify as neurodivergent, are naturally introverted, or simply find it difficult to connect with others and make friends. A formal diagnosis is not required to participate.
Many young adults are successful in school, work, and daily life but still struggle with social situations, finding people they relate to, or building lasting friendships.
Our goal is to create a comfortable community where members can be themselves, meet others with similar experiences, and develop meaningful social connections.

Each month, we plan activities that encourage friendship, conversation, and fun. Occasionally, we organize outings at different locations.
Activities May Include
Board games and card games
Movie nights
Creative projects
Casual conversation and social time
Community outings and local events
Shared hobbies and interests
Opportunities to build friendships in a relaxed and supportive setting
Who Is This Group For?
This group is intended for young adults ages 18–25 who are able to participate independently in social activities and community outings.
Members should be able to:
Attend and participate without a caregiver or one-on-one support staff
Communicate their needs independently
Manage personal care and safety needs during meetings and outings
Engage appropriately in a peer social environment
This group is designed for young adults who are generally independent in their daily lives but may experience challenges with social connection, friendship building, social confidence, or finding a sense of belonging.
While we strive to be welcoming and inclusive, this group is not equipped to provide individual supervision, behavioral support, personal care assistance, or therapeutic services.
