HOUSING IS THE SOLUTION: Mayoral Candidates Meeting on Housing & Homelessness
What will it take to ensure everyone in Hamilton has a safe, secure, and affordable place to call home?
Join Hamilton is Home for a mayoral candidates meeting focused on one of the most pressing issues facing our city: housing and homelessness.
The event will bring together mayoral candidates Andrea Horwath, Keanin Loomis, and Scarlett Gillespie to discuss their plans and priorities for housing and homelessness in Hamilton.
With 2,037 individuals currently experiencing homelessness, 6,642 households on Hamilton’s affordable housing waiting list, and 37% of renters paying unaffordable rents, according to City data, the need for action is urgent.
This meeting is an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their housing platforms and priorities -- and to help Hamilton residents make informed choices before casting their ballots on October 26.
