Foxboro native Matt Michienzie returns home for a special two-set evening at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center.
After living in Los Angeles for 8 years, Matt has built a reputation as an engaging songwriter, flatpicking guitarist, and bandleader whose music blends bluegrass, Americana, country, blues, and the improvisational spirit of the jam-band tradition. His heartfelt originals are rooted in storytelling and rich harmonies, while his adventurous approach draws inspiration from artists across the American roots landscape. Matt and his band have earned recognition on the national bluegrass circuit, sharing stages with acts including Kitchen Dwellers, Brothers Comatose, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, while winning top honors at the Topanga Banjo & Fiddle Contest and Huck Finn Jubilee.
The evening unfolds in two distinct sets.
