About this Event
On 13 November we’ll be joined by Stuart Welsh from ALTA Education for a practical session looking at how we move from curriculum intentions into effective maths teaching. The session will link to the current Curriculum Improvement Cycle work and emerging technical framework, including the focus on what pupils should know, do and understand, and the role of mathematical representations. Colleagues will have opportunities to work on mathematics, consider examples and representations, look at evidence of pupil understanding, discuss what this might mean for teaching and next steps, and share approaches from their own schools.
This session is open to Maths leads from across Primary and Secondary settings in Aberdeen City. Please register using your work email.
Please note: Apologies, lunch will not be provided.
