Take your 3D printing skills to the next level with our engaging workshop, "Mastering Multi-Color 3D Printing with Bambu Studio." This session is tailored for makers who are ready to explore the vibrant world of multi-material and multi-color 3D printing using the innovative tools and features of Bambu Studio.
What You'll Learn:
- Introduction to Multi-Color 3D Printing: Discover the possibilities of multi-color and multi-material 3D printing and how it can elevate your projects.
- Getting Started with Bambu Studio: Learn the essentials of this powerful software, including how to set up models, assign colors, and configure print settings for optimal results.
- Working with AMS (Automatic Material System): Understand how Bambu Lab’s AMS system simplifies multi-color and multi-material printing.
- Designing for Multi-Color Printing: Get tips on creating or preparing 3D models for successful multi-color prints, including file formats, slicing settings, and troubleshooting common challenges.
- Hands-On Printing Session: Watch a live demonstration while learning how to create the same file to print on your Bambu Lab printer. You'll have the option to take home a sample of a multi-color creation.
- Coloring Techniques: Explore features like painting models in Bambu Studio, coloring by layer height, setting colors by object and printing multiple items on the same plate. We will also go over the basics of creating multi-part pieces in 3D modeling programs and how to import them.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is ideal for 3D printing enthusiasts with basic experience who are curious about expanding their skills to include multi-color and multi-material projects.
What to Bring: A laptop with a mouse is recommended, but not required. We have laptops available for students to use during class. Bring your curiosity and any existing 3D models you'd like to experiment with. We'll provide the software, Bambu Lab printers, and filament.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of Bambu Studio, hands-on experience with multi-color 3D printing, and a colorful creation to take home!
