About this Event
About this Class:
Sit at our table and learn from one of our Beverage Experts about Nebbiolo wines from ARPEPE. They’ll walk you through the history and traditions of the winery alongside a tasting of curated wines!
About ARPEPE:
In the heart of Valtellina, beneath the medieval towers of Castel Grumello, the Pelizzatti Perego family has been growing Nebbiolo on stone-terraced slopes since 1860. Here, at the foot of the Rhaetian Alps, viticulture is an act of devotion. Their vines — Chiavennasca, as Nebbiolo is known in these mountains — cling to steep terraces held in place by dry-stone walls built by hand over centuries. Every cluster is harvested the same way: by hand, on foot, one terrace at a time. Today, the fifth generation — Isabella, Emanuele, and Guido — carries that conviction forward. From the historic cellar in Grumello, dug into the mountainside, they craft wines from the great subzones of Sassella, Grumello, and Inferno: wines of transparency, freshness, and alpine minerality, fermented with native yeasts and released only when ready.

- ROSSO DI VALTELLINA
