40 Years of Faithful Service — A Mass of ThanksgivingSince 1986, the Missionaries of Charity have been a beautiful presence in the Diocese of Lafayette, sharing Christ’s love through their humble service to others.
As the sisters prepare to depart our diocese, we invite the faithful to join Bishop Douglas Deshotel for a special Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette.
All priests are invited to concelebrate.
Please join us as we give thanks for 40 years of faithful service and surround the sisters with our prayers and gratitude as they begin their next chapter.
