About this Event
For the genderqueers, goths, furries, weirdos, and anyone who likes costumes! Dressing up is highly encouraged, so feel free to come in anything from glamourous Victorian ballgowns, to studded leather gear, to full fursuits, to fairy wings and medieval armour! The theme is animals and creatures, but there is no particular dress code, so don't let a lack of costume stop you from attending if you would just like to admire everyone else's.
This will be a night of dancing, socializing, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and performances. It will feature a lineup of DJs spinning club remixes of classical music, and fantastically costumed dance performances. Alcohol will be available for purchase, so this is a 19+ event and IDs will be checked at the door.
Getting Here:
The Metro Hall is located at 759 Carnarvon Street in the heart of downtown New Westminster. It is directly across the street from the New Westminster SkyTrain Station, so transit is easy! If you are planning to drive, Impark Downtown Parkade #602 is conveniently located kitty-corner to the front entrance. There’s also plenty of metered street parking nearby, plus a taxi stand directly across the street, making arrivals and late-night exits a breeze.

Unfortunately, while the historic venue offers charm and character, it also presents some accessibility challenges due to its multi-level design.
To reach the Ballroom, there are three steps up to a landing with two single-use bathrooms—one is a dedicated all-gender space with a locking door, and the other includes a standard-sized locking stall. From this landing, there is a staircase with 10 steps leading to the main ballroom floor. The staircase is 6 feet wide with sturdy handrails on both sides.
