On Friday 18 September, we will host a thought-provoking panel discussion and networking event celebrating the impact of foster care and the important role our communities play in creating brighter futures for children and young people.

📍 Imperial Football Netball Club, Sarah Oval, Mildura
The panel will bring together an outstanding group of speakers, including:
- Josh Jenkins, a former AFL footballer who grew up in foster care in Swan Hill
- Jade Benham MP, Member for Mildura and Victorian Shadow Minister for Disability, Ageing. Carers and Volunteers
- The Centre For Excellence in Child and Family Welfare Manager - Kinship and Foster Care Sheree Gee
- A local former foster carer sharing their lived experience
Together, they will explore the theme "Open Doors. Open Hearts. Open Opportunities.", sharing personal stories, insights and perspectives on the life-changing impact of foster care
Following the panel discussion, guests are invited to stay for networking and supper, with refreshments available, providing an opportunity to connect with community leaders, service providers, foster care advocates and others passionate about supporting children and families.
This event forms part of MASP's Fostering Friday celebrations, which will also include a family-friendly community event earlier in the day.
