About this Event
Overview
This event is an invitation to practise Kung Fu outside the traditional classroom setting, bringing martial arts training into the community through open-air sessions at Willistead Park.
These classes are an opportunity to share the knowledge and experience I have gathered through my own martial arts journey, while continuing to learn, practise and grow alongside others. As I progress along my path toward becoming a Sifu, I believe there is value in creating spaces where knowledge can be shared, questions can be explored, and people can develop through consistent practice.
The sessions draw on my background in Southern Shaolin Kung Fu and focus on fundamentals, movement, coordination, conditioning, and martial arts practice. Whether you are new to Kung Fu or already have experience, you are welcome to come train, learn and contribute to a respectful training environment.
This is a community-oriented initiative built around accessibility, participation and the simple value of practising together. There is no requirement to commit to a formal program, and no expectation that everyone arrives with the same level of experience.
Training is free, with optional donations welcome. The intention is to make Kung Fu accessible to those who are curious, motivated to move, or looking for a different way to practise and connect with others.
Come as you are, train at your own pace, and take what you learn into your own practice.
Train Smart. Perform Strong.
