About this Event
Ready to help build something the whole community will enjoy for years to come? Join us as we construct new walking trails along the Marsh View Trail! Volunteers will get hands-on, helping shape a trail that neighbors and visitors alike will walk for generations.
Lend a hand - and make a difference - at Mount Pleasant Waterworks' Marsh View Trail Community Build: Trail Expansion on Saturday, November 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
What does a Trail Expansion involve? During the Marsh View Trail Expansion, volunteers will help hand pull, cut, and clear vegetation along flagged pathways to create new walking paths throughout the public park.
The Marsh View Trail is part of a public park and is permanently protected through a conservation easement between Mount Pleasant Waterworks and the Lowcountry Land Trust. It is located at the end of Fred McKay Way near MPW’s main office (1619 Rifle Range Road).
What to Know: Participants should plan to wear closed-toe shoes. Bring work gloves, a water bottle, and bug spray. Long-sleeves and pants are recommended. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is available along Fred McKay Way.
