Marne Ka Shortcut’ to be Staged at Ravindra Manch.Ras Rang Manch Sanstha will stage the Hindi play “Marne Ka Shortcut”, written by Dr. Kumar Sanjay and directed by Himanshu Jhankal.The play is being prepared as part of a 45-day theatre workshop at Ravindra Manch, featuring more than ten newcomers. The production explores the contradictions and consequences of suicide and presents a poignant story of people who, after taking their own lives, become ghosts and experience deep regret over their decision.The play portrays various characters—including a student, doctor, woman, politician, and others—who, overwhelmed by the difficulties and challenges of life, choose suicide as an escape. After death, they become ghosts, narrate their individual stories, and express remorse for ending their lives. They are shown longing for the very life they had thoughtlessly given up.Through its emotional and thought-provoking narrative, the play conveys a powerful message: life is precious and is a gift from God. We have no right to end such a valuable life without considering its worth and the possibilities it holds.The production aims to encourage audiences to value life, face difficulties with courage, and understand that even the most challenging phases of life can change.
