About this Event
Class Description
Artisans Asylum is proud to be home to a MarkForged Mark Two engineering grade 3d printer that makes super strong nylon parts and even has the ability to insert a continuous strand of various fibers from Carbon Fiber to Kevlar. These capabilities allow for extremely accurate and durable parts with superior rigidity and resilience to heat and impact compared with popular hobbyist filaments such as PETG and ASA. This class will introduce you to the safe and effective use of this valuable tool and is intended for people with existing experience with FDM (filament using or Fused Deposition Manufacturing) printers.
The materials fee for this class is $20. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Venmo, cash or Cashapp.
