Join us for a celebratory Flotilla and Parade along the Maribyrnong River in Footscray followed by a Rotary BBQ.Registering here is just for the event and will give us an idea of numbers for the Rotary BBQ. If you want to participate from the water see how via the dot points below and register separately where needed.
4 Ways to Participate
* Join the Flotilla in your own vessel
* Walk with the parade around the Maribyrnong Trail in Footscray
* Register for a seat on the Tramboat (limited seats) via this link: https://events.humanitix.com/tramboat-ride-maribyrnong-flotilla [https://events.humanitix.com/tramboat-ride-maribyrnong-flotilla]
* Register for a spot on a community paddleboard (Link to come)
Get behind the our campaign for more water in the creeks that keep the Maribyrnong alive.
Despite two decades of promises to return water, the Maribyrnong remains one of Victoria's most flow-stressed rivers - squeezed by climate change, over-allocation, and rising demand, including from hyperscale data centres. The reforms are on paper, not in the water.
You can join us on the water via canoe alongside the Tramboat or join the parade on foot along the Maribyrnong Trail.
Meet us outside the Footscray Boat Club and we'll kick start the event with a Wurundjeri Welcome to Country and then brief you on how the event will work and make sure you have all the information you need to safely participate.
So, come dressed in your finest with flag or banner in hand decorated with fish, frogs, birds, seals, dolphins, whatever you love about this special place. Send a message to our politicians about how much we want the Maribyrnong to be known, loved and protected.
We encourage you to get creative. Come make a splash with us.
Registering here will help us with planning for the event so that we have an idea of how many people to expect on the day and for the Rotary BBQ catering.
***Please note*** registering via this link this is NOT a ticket for the Tramboat - this will be a separate ticketing process. So look out on our socials.
