Marian Hill brings their sleek, seductive blend of electronic pop, R&B, and jazz-inflected production to El Club Detroit. The Philadelphia duo of vocalist Samantha Gongol and producer Jeremy Lloyd have spent more than a decade carving out a sound that’s intimate, atmospheric, and impossible to neatly categorize.
The duo first broke through with “One Time”, which went viral on Vine before leading to early placements in Today’s Top Hits and a Taco Bell campaign. But it was “Down” that turned Marian Hill into a global sensation. Featured in Apple’s iconic AirPods campaign, the song’s smoky vocals, sparse piano, and stuttering electronic beat became one of the most Shazamed tracks in the country, reaching No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning a double-platinum certification.
Since then, Marian Hill has performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Firefly, and Governors Ball, while selling out shows across China, Korea, Japan, and Europe. Their music has appeared everywhere from HBO’s Industry to major campaigns for Calvin Klein, Hyundai, Allstate, and Fox Sports.
Now, experience the duo’s hypnotic sound live at El Club Detroit—where moody electronics, soulful vocals, and undeniable grooves come together for a night you won’t want to miss.
For fans of: electronic pop, alternative R&B, indie electronic, chillwave, jazz-infused pop, and atmospheric dance music.
