About this Event
Margate Death Cafe is a peer-led space for sharing and exploring grief, bereavement and loss. Whatever your experience of death is, we welcome you.
What is a death cafe?
A death cafe is an informal gathering of people who come together to talk about their personal experiences related to death. It's a place to share your views, learn from others and find connection and belonging among people with shared experiences.
We begin with a group introduction and then split off into smaller discussions.
Conversations will be supported by our facilitators, who are there to help ensure everyone can feel comfortable and has space to engage.
This specific Death Cafe will take place before The Party at the End a show written and performed by Suzy Crothers. Part storytelling, part performance, part collective gathering... warm, irreverent, and unexpectedly joyful performance at ARK in Cliftonville. Trigger Warning: This show contains references to death, grief, loss, bereavement, mental illness and cancer. Doors at 7pm , show runs till 8:30pm.
All Margate Death Cafe attendees will receive a code for 20% off tickets, the show is an invitation but not mandatory.
