Held on the last Saturday in October, this cherished event celebrates the artistry and tradition of wooden boatbuilding. The show is open to all wooden boats—whether newly constructed or lovingly restored—and showcases exceptional craftsmanship from across the region.Boats will be on display both on land at George Washington Creef Park and in the water surrounding the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse, offering visitors a chance to get up close and appreciate the details of these unique vessels.
Exhibited boats will be judged in two categories: owner-built/restored and professionally built/restored. Awards will be presented during a special dinner on Saturday evening, including the People’s Choice Award and the prestigious H.A. Creef Award, a perpetual honor given to the best overall boat.
