The Centrepiece of PFC's 5th Halloween of Horrors event is the long-awaited 4k restoration of Michael Mann's stunning MANHUNTER.This marks the first screen appearance of Hannibal Lecter ("Lektor" in the film), brilliantly played by Succession's Brian Cox.
Adapted from Thomas Harris' first Hannibal novel, Red Dragon, profiler Will Graham goes into dangerous psychological territory when investigating a serial killer who slaughters families as they sleep.
To get deeper into the murderer's psyche, Graham has to enlist the help of the man who nearly killed him: Hannibal. By doing so, he risk both his sanity, his life and his family in the process.
Tense, very scary and enormously stylish, this is a very different film to The Silence of the Lambs, but is better for it.
It's not been seen on the big screen for many years, and I'm really excited to be showing it in a glorious restored version. The home video, DVD and Blu-Ray releases in the past have all been poor quality, so this chance to see it on the big screen with a crowd can't be missed.
