About this Event

Manhattan Business Connection Lab: 12-Person Networking

Welcome to Manhattan Business Connection Lab, a small-format networking experience designed for people who prefer useful conversations over crowded rooms.

The event brings together just 12 entrepreneurs, small business owners, independent professionals, consultants, creatives, operators, and business-minded New Yorkers for a structured 90-minute session.

There is no stage presentation and no requirement to address a large audience.

Instead, the experience uses guided small-group conversations to help participants understand what other people actually do, what they are currently working through, and where a future professional relationship may make sense.

Before the Event

Each live participant receives a short preparation form built around three questions:

  • What are you focused on right now?
  • What type of knowledge or experience can you contribute to a conversation?
  • What business question are you currently thinking through?

Responses are used only to help the facilitator prepare the conversation flow.

Connection Round One - Current Work

Participants meet in groups of four.

Each guest briefly introduces:

  • Their current professional focus
  • One project or business priority
  • One topic they would genuinely enjoy discussing

The goal is context - not rehearsed introductions.

Connection Round Two - Working Problems

Groups are rearranged.

Participants discuss one practical business challenge, lesson, or decision they are currently navigating.

Possible topics may include:

  • Finding better operating systems
  • Managing independent work
  • Building professional visibility
  • Improving customer experience
  • Working more efficiently
  • Hiring and team coordination
  • Marketing and communication
  • Balancing growth with limited time

No participant is required to disclose confidential business information.

Connection Round Three - The Connection Map

During the final structured round, guests identify the conversations they would like to continue after the event.

Follow-up information is shared only when participants mutually choose to exchange it.

The facilitator will also help guests identify potentially useful follow-up conversations based on what was discussed during the session.
