Join us Thurday the 16th of June at 7:00 PM at the opening of “ Malaz – ملاذ”. A collective Exhibition that narrates the city. This exhibition is based on the observations of the city as if you’re flying above it and could only see it from a far away angle. That is what we visit in the artists’ visions and experiences in the exhibition. Despite the singularity of each artist from the other, they still came together around one idea which is the search for an outlet – ملاذ.
The artists expressed this by visualizing the noise and fuss of the city in a dream and a desire state of having an outlet for them in this land. Like a haven for them throughout the details of their day-to-day life.
“This experience takes shape through the monitoring of different human and artistic experiences within their inevitable connection to the city in various ways.
And this is why we find a strong link between the experience of each artist and the layers of the city that they know that have impacted them and helped shape them as artists over the years of involvement and participation with that city and what takes place in it.
Shelter Art Space will shed the light on this experience through a series of different visual exhibitions; collectives and solos, and also through the many dialogues of discussions and events about the impact of the city on its inhabitants and what it leaves of an impression on each person. Focusing on how to feel a sense of belonging and a sense of familiarity and Genuity.”

ندعوكم لحضور معرض "ملاذ"، يوم الخميس الموافق ١٦ يونيو الساعة السابعة مساءاً
معرض ملاذ هو معرض جماعي يسرد أبعاد المدينة. يرتكز المعرض على رصد المدينة بشكل أشبه وكأننا نحلق في سمائها لنراها من تلك الزاوية وذلك ما نرصده في تجارب الفنانين المشاركين في المعرض وعلى الرغم من تفرد واختلاف تجربة كل فنان عن الآخر إلا أنهم اتحدوا حول فكرة واحدة ألا وهو البحث عن متنفس لهم في المدينة. عبروا الفنانين عن ذلك من خلال تصور لصخب وزحام المدينة متزامناً مع الرغبة والحلم بوجود متنفس لهم في أرضها. متنفس أشبه بملاذ لهم فيها و في تفاصيل حيواتهم اليومية.
"تتبلور تلك التجربة من خلال رصد التجارب الإنسانية والفنية المختلفة للفنانين والتعبير عن ارتباطهم بالمدينة بشتى الطرق لذلك نجد ارتباط قوي بين تجربة كل فنان ومدى تأثير طاقة المدينة التي تكونت فيها كينونته على مدار سنوات من الانخراط والتشعب في طبقات المدينة وما يحدث فيها من تفاعل يومي.
تلك هي التجربة التي نعمل على تسليط الضوء عليها من خلال سلسلة معارض بصرية مختلفة سواء كانت جماعية أو فردية ومن خلال أيضاً حوارات ونقاشات عديدة حول تأثير المدينة على الأفراد وما تتركه من انطباع داخل كل منا. تركيزاً على كيفية الإحساس بالانتماء .والشعور بالألفة والأصالة"
