About this Event
Did you know that everything you see, hear, and touch is based on waves? It's true — scientists have confirmed that they are the basis of all matter and energy in the universe. If you love STEM, you need to understand waves. Don't worry, this presentation will show you how much fun it is to learn about them!
In this 90-minute session, kids will learn:
• the types of waves — what they share and how they differ
• what makes music beautiful and how it relates to the structure of atoms!
• the electromagnetic spectrum, from radio to visible light to powerful gamma rays
• the strange and fascinating behaviors that waves exhibit
Interactive:
Videos and live demonstrations add entertainment and interactivity to the show! Ages 10 to 16, as well as parents, can all take something away and be inspired to learn more.
