“Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.” — Simonides of CeosUnleash your inner artist in this relaxed, experimental workshop exploring the connection between poetry and visual art.
Inspired by the writings of the Romantic poets, participants will be invited to turn words into images — playing with colour, form and abstraction in a free-form space between representation and imagination. No previous experience is necessary.
Tickets are €45
All materials are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own sketchbook. Refreshments will be offered during the morning, followed by a private tour of Keats Shelley House, including the opportunity to view illustrated books from our collection.
