Join Yukonstruct’s Weekend Leatherwork Maker Academy for a 6 week Bootcamp, focused on building your skills and confidence in Leather crafting, specifically learning about tools, making templates for cutting, saddle stitching, dying, burnishing, tooling, embossing and finishing leather.
Projects:
- Keychain or minimalist wallet
- bespoke belt
- Handbag or drop leg bag
The program includes:
- 18 hours of instruction by a highly skilled instructor
- 2 months premium Makespace membership (24-hour access) 310$ value
- Access to skilled mentors to help with your project in between classes.
- All supplies to complete these 3 projects are included in the price of the program
Note: If participants do not work on projects between classes they may not finish them by the end of the course.

About the Instructors: Hugues Bernasconi has been teaching leatherworking workshops for Yukonstruct including phone cases and knife sheaths for a number of years.
Noah has been doing leatherwork for several years including chaperoning an art enrichment program in Dawson City where he made the wallet, keychain and saddle bag himself!
Jeramy (they/them) is a Red Seal steamfitter, 3rd year welder by trade, is the Makespace programming coordinator and strated doing leatherwork over 25 years ago! They have made pouches, quivers, knife sheaths, armor, wallets as well as tools for embossing, burnishing and cutting leather!
Classes are every Saturday from 11am pm to 2 pm from November 2nd to December 7th, 2024.
