Your morning coffee deserves a mug with a little personality preferably yours!Join us at Art Escape for a hands-on clay workshop where you’ll create your own textured stoneware travel mug, complete with a built-in sipping opening. Starting with a slab of clay, you’ll use texture rollers and beginner-friendly handbuilding techniques to shape your mug and add the details that make it uniquely yours.
No experience needed! We’ll guide you step by step as you turn clay into something you’ll actually use and love.
After class, your mug will stay with us to dry and receive its first firing. Then it’s time for color!
Choose Your Color We’ll Take It from There!
You’ll choose your preferred glaze color during the handbuilding workshop. Then, return Saturday, November 7 during walk-in hours to glaze your mug yourself, or let us glaze it for you. Either way, your finished mug will be ready for pickup November 13!
What to Know:
Includes one handmade mug, clay, tools, instruction, glaze, and both firings.
A second visit November 7th to work on your mug is only needed if you choose to glaze it yourself.
Finished mugs will be ready for pick up November 13th.
Each mug will vary in shape, size, texture, and glaze finish—that’s part of its handmade charm!
