A little fabric, a little magic, and a whole lot of creativity!
Ever wished you could carry a little piece of your favorite memories, intentions, or meaningful treasures wherever you go? Well, now you can!
Join Aether & Ancestors Collective for a fun, hands-on evening at Enchanted Earth Trading Post, where we'll turn fabric, charms, mirrors, botanicals, and a little imagination into your very own pocket altar.
What Is a Pocket Altar?
A pocket altar is a small, foldable, portable space for holding objects that have personal meaning. Traditionally inspired by portable shrines and devotional objects, today's pocket altars can be created for countless reasons—from honoring ancestors and preserving memories to celebrating nature, expressing creativity, or simply carrying a little reminder of what matters most.
There's no right or wrong way to make one. That's part of the fun!
What to Expect
We'll begin with a pre-cut fabric foundation, then let your imagination take over.
Explore a colorful collection of materials, including:
- Beautiful fabrics, ribbons, and decorative trims
- Tiny mirrors, gems, and crystals
- Patches, symbols, charms, and beads
- Botanicals, feathers, and natural elements
- Buttons, pockets, tassels, and other little treasures
You'll learn how to assemble, fold, decorate, and personalize your altar using simple crafting techniques.
Not a sewing enthusiast? Perfect! Most of the project uses fabric adhesive and glue, with optional hand-stitching for borders, buttons, and decorative details.
No sewing or crafting experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play!
Light snacks and tea will be provided to enjoy throughout the evening as we create, connect, and share a little creative inspiration.
Make It Personal
Want to include something special? Feel free to bring a small photograph, handwritten note, piece of fabric, tiny keepsake, or other meaningful item to incorporate into your creation.
Your finished altar might become a place for reflection, a travel companion, a keepsake for someone you love, or simply a beautiful little piece of handmade art.

Arrive early and explore the wonderful world of Enchanted Earth Trading Post, filled with crystals, botanicals, spiritual goods, unique gifts, and plenty of tiny treasures that might find their way into your pocket altar.
Special shopping discounts will be available during this hour exclusively for event attendees!
It's the perfect opportunity to browse, discover something unexpected, and pick up a few extra mini treasures to make your altar even more personal.
