A pottery workshop for plant and flower lovers alike! Learn pottery basics and sculpt a custom clay planter or vase from clay!
About this Event

Unplug, unwind, and make something by hand at our feel-good pottery night — no experience needed. Sculpt your own custom planter or vase - basic, textured, footed, face-shaped, whatever your vibe. Whether your monstera needs a new home or you’re making a custom vase for your favorite blooms, you'll leave with a pottery piece as unique as your plant baby.

Bonus: We donate $1 from every ticket to mental health initiatives. Learn more here about which non-profits we’ve given back to so far, and how you can help choose who we support next.

Your ticket includes:

  • Something to Sip On: A drink from the First Street Market Bar to sip on while you sculpt!
  • Pottery 101: A relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop guided by an experienced host. Learn foundational hand-building techniques like pinch pots and coils, then turn them into functional pottery with pieces like mugs, bowls, vases, or planters. We’ll also show you how to add fun touches like handles or texture.
  • All Supplies Provided: We bring the clay, tools, and materials — you just bring yourself.
  • Botanical Pressing: You'll have a selection of botanicals, from Wee Vice Farm, to choose from & learn how to press them into your ceramic creation for a stunning botanical accent!
  • Kiln Firing Add-On (Glazing + Firing): Our team will glaze + kiln-fire one of your pottery pieces so it is glossy, durable, waterproof & food-safe. You must submit this digital form at the end of your workshop to ensure you receive your pieces back (Don't worry - we'll share this with you at the workshop too). Pieces will be ready for shipping (included) in 6-8 weeks.
  • Flower Bouquet: Choose from a selection of handmade bouquets, custom-curated for you by Wee Vice Farm, to take home and enjoy until your plant pot or vase is finished.
  • Flower Bouquet Discount from Wee Vice Farm: At this workshop, you'll get a discount coupon to use towards your next set of blooms from Wee Vice Farm's booth at the market (available Saturdays from 11-4). Return to the market after your pottery is ready and use your discount towards new blooms to feature in your brand-new pottery creation!
  • Beginner-Friendly Vibes: Laid-back, no-pressure energy perfect for first-timers, solo guests, and friend groups alike.

Ceramic Clay Upgrade Add On (available for additional purchase): We'll take one of your pieces back to our studio where our studio pros will glaze and fire your pieces to make them waterproof and food-safe. Then, we'll ship your pieces back to you when they're finished, in 6-8 weeks. One add-on per piece required.

Want to add color? Painting is not included at this workshop. Learn how to sign up for a dedicated Pottery Painting Session at the Pottery With a Purpose Studio in Needham, MA here.
