About this Event
Make Do and Mend was a World War II effort in Great Britian to ease resources by reducing clothing consumption in wartime England. Today, we can make do and mend our amazing thrift finds, or our clothes that still have life, even if they need a little fix. With some basic hand sewing stitches, we can continue the lives of our favorite pieces of clothing.
Foundation Participants: Supplies are provided including a small sewing kit, a piece of fabric with some hems to adjust, and some buttons. These are for learning the very basics of hand sewing.
Studio Participants: Bring your own supplies including your sewing kit and all fabrics, scraps, buttons, threads, and embellishments for working on your projects.
Bring your amazing thrift finds that need a little work, bring your favorite pieces that need a little repair, or your coats and shirts that need their buttons put back on.
Cost
$30 per Studio Participant. Multi-session discount applies.
$40 per Foundation Participant. No multiple sessions.
