This course is recommended for:
People who have attended Makaton Level 3 training and wish to continue their Makaton learning.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Revision of Foundation course material
2. Know the Core Vocabulary Stages 7-8
3. Know when to use Makaton symbo. For online training we will send this in the post and in-person attendeesls
4. Know how to assess a users needs
5. Adapt communication to suit individual users
6. Know how to develop a users communication skills
Course content:
Level 4 training completes the Core Vocabulary. You will revise the signs and symbols you learned in your Level 1, 2 and 3 training, and learn the signs and symbols for Stages 7 and 8 of the Core Vocabulary.
Study materials:
For the Level 4 workshop you will receive a Participant’s Manual which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.
You will be given a certificate of attendancewhich you will receive at the end of the workshop. Please remember to keep your certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.
