About this Event
Program:
Ludwig van Beethoven – Coriolan Overture, Op. 62
Grace Williams - Sea Sketches
Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No. 3 in Eb Major, Op. 55 "Eroica"
--------------------
Betrayed by Napoleon’s thirst for power, Beethoven furiously tore apart his 3rd Symphony’s dedication, and in doing so created a work that captured, like no other, the defiant and life-affirming heroic spirit. With its massive size and emotional power, the Eroica Symphony would change the course of Classical music forever.
Our program begins with the Coriolan Overture, Beethoven’s electrifying portrait of Shakespeare's doomed warrior followed by Grace William’s hauntingly beautiful Sea Sketches, which paint the Welsh coastline in all its wild, shimmering glory.
RSVP's are NOT required but it helps us to know you're planning to come. Walk-ins are welcome!
