Beware the Bamboozler and Stop Getting Snookered
From social influencers and political aspirants, to cult figures and purveyors of new weight loss fads, we’re being bombarded with ruses to get us thinking like others want us to. And once we’ve taken a side, we’re finding ourselves in conflict with those who don’t fall into our camps. Part of the human condition makes us vulnerable to picking sides, and it’s likely that we’re all experiencing our fair share of disconnect and division. Well, it’s time to take control and start co-existing peacefully with people who don’t think exactly like we do.
Howie Milstein, author of You Don’t Know Shit: The Joy of Bewilderment, will take us on a journey to navigate conflict through curiosity and skepticism. In his program, “Beware the Bamboozler and Stop Getting Snookered,” he will help you:
- Understand the sneaky methodology of specious arguments,
- Better discern evidence-based information from utter bunk, and
- Learn how to ask good questions to help align thinking and connect with the other side.
