An Atmospheric Evening with Music from the Río de la Plata
International singer Maia Castro returns to Copenhagen as part of her 2025 European tour. She will give a unique concert in the city during the wonderful Sonamos Latinoamérica Festival.
Together with her two guitarists, Maia Castro presents music from the Río de la Plata region (Uruguay and Argentina), where tango, milonga, zamba, and other folk rhythms blend into a warm and intense musical experience. The repertoire includes works by masters such as Zitarrosa, Gardel, and Mastra, as well as her own compositions.
Maia Castro is today one of the most prominent voices in tango and milonga from the Río de la Plata area. She has completed eight European tours, released five albums, and tours extensively in both Uruguay and Argentina.
