Ready to build on what you learned in Mahjong 101? Mahjong 102 is designed for players who understand the basics and are ready to become more confident, independent players.During this interactive session, you'll spend less time learning the rules and more time applying them through guided game play.
In this class, you'll:
Review key concepts from Mahjong 101
Strengthen your understanding of the NMJL Official Card
Practice selecting and changing hands as the game develops
Improve tile reading and decision-making
Learn offensive and defensive strategies
Review Charleston techniques and common etiquette
Gain confidence calling tiles and handling exposures
Play instructor-guided games with coaching throughout the session
Ask questions in a supportive, relaxed environment
This class is perfect for players who know the basics but want more experience before joining regular Open Play.
Prerequisite: Completion of Mahjong 101 or equivalent beginner knowledge of American Mahjong.
What to Bring:
Your current NMJL Official Card (we have limited stock for purchase).
A willingness to learn and have fun!
Mahjong sets, racks, pushers, dice, and all other game materials are provided.
By the end of Mahjong 102, you'll feel more comfortable making strategic decisions, playing at game pace, and joining Guided Open Play or Open Play with confidence.
