I’m a member of the Houma Elks Lodge #1193 downtown, and we have Mahjong every Monday afternoon from 1pm until about 3pm; someone usually brings a set of mahjong 🀄️ tiles and we’d like a headcount of players to get a table or two going. Let me know 1) if you plan to attend and 2) if you have your own tiles and/or your own 2026 NMJL card (you can either respond below or message me). The Lodge has a cash bar with both non-alcoholic beverages and typical bar drinks at a budget friendly price; also, we can plan a luncheon for future games, if there is enough interest.I know a lot of mahjong players are used to not playing for money or scoring, but that is something we can easily accommodate if players are interested in getting tournament-style practice. Our main goal is to have fun and make memories with friends while giving the old grey matter 🧠 a workout 💪 —so, keep in mind, any payouts from game play can never enrich our lives in a better way than that!!
