🌺 Maha Shasthi – The Auspicious BeginningMaha Shasthi marks the sacred commencement of Durga Puja 2026 in Copenhagen, ushering in five days of devotion, celebration, and togetherness. It is the day when we formally welcome Maa Durga, invoking her divine presence through the cherished rituals of Bodhan (the awakening of the Goddess), Amontron (the ceremonial invitation), and Adhibas (the sanctification of the idol and surroundings).
As the veil is lifted from the idol, the air fills with the resonance of sacred chants, prayers, and the rhythmic sounds of devotion. The atmosphere becomes vibrant with anticipation, symbolizing the arrival of the Divine Mother among her devotees.
As evening descends, the celebration comes alive with soulful devotional music, cultural performances, and joyful community gatherings that reflect the rich heritage and spirit of Bengal. Families and friends come together to share in the warmth of tradition, faith, and fellowship.
Join us on Maha Shasthi as we embark on this spiritual journey, welcoming Maa Durga with reverence and joy. May her arrival bless us all with strength, protection, prosperity, and a deep sense of unity within our community.
