Mah Jongg Open Play Night

This Open Play event is a community style gathering for American Mah Jongg play in a casual setting. No stressful competition—just fresh air, great company, and plenty of tile-shuffling. Our bar will be open with beverages for purchase and complimentary water & iced tea.

Doors open at 5:00pm with play starting at 5:30pm.

• Just Show Up and Play: No formal instruction. Players form tables of 4 and play full games using standard NMJL rules and the current year's card. This is a 2 hour session, with multiple games (hands) played.
• Pace and Atmosphere: Games move at a normal, social speed. It's lively, chatty, and fun — lots of conversation, laughter, and friendly competition. Some groups are more competitive, others very relaxed.
• Who Attends: A mix of levels — from experienced regulars to newer players who are ready to practice their skills. It's a great way to meet people and become part of the local Mah Jongg community.

• NMJL Card
• Mah Jongg Set if you have one (or borrow one of ours).
• A picnic dinner or snacks for the evening.
